Gone are the days of free rent and other incentives to attract tenants; apartment owners have something to smile about again. In the largest leasing quarter since 1999, according to Reis, Inc., the apartment market is quickly gaining stability and strength. Although this recovery will help to strengthen the multifamily housing industry as households return to apartment living, the nation's economic growth is still tenuous.
